In the sixth century, the vampire Desmond persuaded King Arthur to seek the lost Book of Jesus and the Holy Grail. While Arthur's knights sought these artifacts, the king's son began a campaign to usurp the throne. It's said Guinevere went to a convent after King Arthur's final battle.
